Wednesday May 8th Camping in the wind!!!!

Well we had a great day and a peaceful laid back afternoon. Dave read, i took a semi nap and caught up with a couple friends, via phone. Dave grilled chicken for us, we have determined the new griddle is a hot gas hog. It should not take a full can of propane to cook three thin pieces of chicken! It is also very hard to clean. Thanks to Amazon it is going back!

We had a nice evening started, and along came the wind. Put in the awning at my request, and found the wind blown Skip Bo cards! We watched the stars and just had a nice night of music and talking, a quick little walk to go watch the city lights and the AF planes fly. It continued to get windier. Dave staked down the canopy and we went inside. We tested the WIFI cube from T-Mobile and set up the firestick on the TV. We should be connected most of the trip, pending cell service.

At 12:52 a big wind gust decided the canopy was going to be airborne, there we were in our t-shirts and skivvy's trying to keep it from going away. it did not fair well. we laughed and went back to bed.

Overall it was a great and relaxing trip. we have a good list of things to add to the camper and things to take on our trip. In just 11 days we will dpart on our adventure. Hope you can join us through this blog.
