Where oh where did Saturdays post go??? out in the InnerSpace somewhere I suppose. So let me catch you up. We are still in Texas at Lake LBJ with my cousins Doug and Mary. We had a great day Saturday, breakfast tacos then out to the water on floats. It was a hot day, and the water was nice. One of my dear friends Chistine drove over from Austin to spend the afternoon with us. We had a great time, Fairy hair and Perma Jewlery all included. Of course, some great snacks and food. At 4:30 we headed to the park on the other side of the lake and joined the community Memorial Day picnic. They did a wonderful tribute to those who fought for our country and never returned. Allowing us to have the freedoms that we have now. The drill team the Beaches performed, they are an older group of ladies who do precision lawn chair dancing, get your head out of the gutter! They march and twirl lawn chairs. Cracked me up, but entertaining. We were all treated by Doug and Mary to the BBQ dinner! Thank you!! Man, it was Texas size! Half a chicken, a sausage and beans, tater salad, bread pickle etc. Yum! The volunteer fire department cooks and serve it. The poor guy had to go out at 4 am to assist on a fire nearby. They did a great job, ended with the kids getting to play in the foam lakeside.

We came home and this girl was tired and in bed by 8:30. Dave stayed up and finished a book. Nice to see him relaxing and getting time to read again.

Dave did read later that the wind that came up during the picnic had us under a tornado watch. I guess I figure we with the fire department, if it was bad they would have let us know. We are safe and hope the storms stay away from us!

Sunday, we took it easy and then headed out to the little town of Kingsland to find a laundry mat. Dave had to show me the ropes. I cannot remember ever going to one. Well once I dropped off a comforter once, but they did the work. Sheltered I tell you! Dave is the best, he did the laundry, babysit the dryer every five minutes, took things out that were dry. We got sheets towels and clothes all done!

You know you're in Texas when they are on the street corner selling ammo under a pop-up tent and a hand painted sign. They had a sign for guns too!

it was 100 here yesterday with 70% humidity or higher. We visited with family then retreated to our trailer, music, crochet and reading was all we did. Oh, we did have corn for dinner so had to feed the local deer the cobs and left over bread. so fun to watch them just be few feet away and look at you like is there more!

Monday - we slept in as we stayed up late last night. My cousin Douglass showed up just after 11. we had just gone to bed. We had a nice morning and then were joined by more cousins, Valerie and Steve and his wife Lisa. We had a snacky lunch visited and caught up since it had been several ears since we had all been together. Lots of fun stories. it again is 100 degrees. People are leaving the lake to go home so the water is calming down. We enjoyed the deer and company. It has been a nice weekend. nice to be with Doug and Mary and everyone else. Yummy food friendship and fun.

Tomorrow we will head out early and head to Port Arthur, Texas where will spend the night. We have a couple must do spots before we leave Texas, Bucees, Braum's and the H.E.B. We are even delivering coffee to my cousin in Florida from her daughter, the Housten blend!

It has been a long time for both of us to have this relaxing time at the lake. we feel very blessed to be here and be able to enjoy this time. And now we got to do it together
