Well we are off on this next adventure! We left We left Thursday the 8th. It was a crazy busy few days leafing up to leaving for several months. We got it all done! We have amazing friends in AZ that helped and supported us.
My phone had broken early Monday morning, no screen so no use to me. You don't realize how much you have in your phone and depend on it . I could not get the new one I wanted in time to leave, had to have it shipped to Colorado. I limped along on an old one. Hence no blog.
So your getting several days in one shot.
We had a great weather traveling to Black Mesa Casino and campground just north of Albuquerque. Bare bones but quiet and cheap. We set up and had a nice dinner and relaxed. It was a 500 mile drive for us and we are not used to that.
Georgia took her self on a little run about! That dog can get away quickly. She turned 7 months old today.
Fri morning we were up and on our next leg of our trip to Colorado. We had good weather, minimal wind and made good time getting to the Farm outside Colorado Springs.
We were welcomed with open arms and lots of dog noses! The mountains are white and full of snow. As a matter of fact we had just gotten the camper all set up. Rug out, chairs etc. in typical Colorado fashion...hail storm followed by rain and gray lightening show.
Kristina and I missed the hail as we ran into town to get my new phone activated. Back in communication with the world! Of course every app I went to use required verification and extra steps. All part of the process!
We had a nice dinner, burgers inside since it was still raining!
Nice cool sleeping weather!
Saturday found us sleeping in, getting things organized. Kristina and I took a cooking class at the local highschool where my niece is graduating from highschool with her culinary and restaurant certification. So proud of Alex.
We made some island rice with curry, coconut milk and pineapple. Jerk chicken with home made marinade. Fried plantains. It was all very yummy. We brought home enough for dinner. Nice day just spending time with family.
Georgia was in Dog heaven. She was back home. She didn't miss a beat. She played with the herd, ran, chased chickens and checked out the turkey. Norma the cow was scary to her.
Stay tuned for the next adventure!
Great blog..
Can't wait for more!!!
