June 17th

First day of week of week 5 ! How can that be! We are still having a great time and loving our trip.

We are still in Wake Forest with Susie and Brian. It is green and beautiful here. Not as humid as Florida or Georgia! Bonus for me!

We slept in, Susie came and picked me up and we went off to do girl things. Dave stayed at the camper and got caught up on his pod casts and started a new book. When we got back he had music on outside sitting on his rocker reading.😁 Great day he said.

Susie and I toured Wake Forest, all thr old houses on main street were beautiful. We drove past the Baptist Seminary and through the business district. We had lunch at Very nice restaurant called Beyond the Falls. Very nice, best friend pickles ever! So nice to catch up and be together. Of course we needed to hit target. Then off to the Cotton Mill a wonderful handmade artist shop. Set up spacious and tastefully done. Some really nice stuff.

We finished with a trip to Wegemans! You know me, I love local grocery stores. It was a fantastic store. Cheese monger, fresh bakery, deli, sushi, and so much more. Oh yeah a burger joint too. Good thing we were full from lunch.

Dave and I went over to the house, laundry in Tow. We did laundry hung out with all the dogs, watched the puppy and had great dinner. Thanks again for your great hospitality.

We have laundry put away and the bed made. This old woman in ready for bed.

But I did get to see lightning bugs tonight!!!! Made e feel like a kid again.

We are off to our next stop tomorrow. We are heading back West!
