Happy Father's day!

We traveled via the highway today. Long stressful day. Over ,75 miles of constant construction. 2 vey narrow lanes, pulling a trailer. Dave did well Zmd kept his cool most of the way. Lots of trucks, other trailers and boats and traffic. We had about 35 mins of five miles an hour. Good thing is we made it safe And still had a few nerves left. Thanks Dave for keeping us safe.

We are Wake Forest NC. Near Raleigh.

My best friend from kindergarten to 6 grade and her husband live here. She booked us a great campsite in a state park about 8 miles from her house. It is on a beautiful lake and we are tucked in the trees. Pictures tomorrow.

We started to see tobacco fields as we got off the big highway. Lots of them. We are in tobacco country here.

The huge sombrero cracked me up.

It's called South of the Border, a restaurant and area with carnival like roads. Right in the NC/SC border. Had to take the picture!

We went to Susie and Brian's house for dinner. Perfect summer meal. Brian smoked ribs that were tender and juicy. We had corn , beans watermelon and yummy homemade carrot cake for dessert!. Sorry took pictures late so just get the aftermath!

We got to see all the dogs. And the new puppy . Nice to get a dog fix.

Their home is lovely. The flowers and gardens are stunning. We will see more tomorrow.

The sunset was pretty coming home. Hard to get the red blue through the trees and window.

We are both pooped. Several busy days in a row.

Not many pictures from today. Highway views are just that highway!
