Flag day today! Hope you flew yours proudly. We need to fly them daily!

The picture I posted was on its own little island in the middle of the river. We were in South Georgia.

I forgot a few things yesterday. I was tired and my brain was mush.

The huge ships are auto carriers. They are huge parking garages n of cars. We are not sure if they are unloading or loading. We saw lots a car transport trucks yesterday on the highway.

I've learned no matter where you are doyne surface becomes the catch all. Our counter as you come in the camper seems to be the place. Good thing here is it gets empty every time you travel.

And I've learned I'm a toilet paper snob. We have been spoiled with Costco TP. It came time to invest, yes it fells like an investment at $8 for 9. We bought the Walmart store brand. Let me just say it's crap. Crap for crap.

Several people have asked how we like the camper. We talk often about how perfect it has been. We have space and do not feel cramped. The bed is comfy. The couch and recliners very nice. We have not watched much TV, but when we have it has been great. We brought our WiFi with us. Nice to have a good shower and all your things right there. The freezer is huge. We are currently hoarding tamales we bought in Texas at HEB. And a whole bag of ice fits and does not take up the whole freezer. The water and sewer connections are so much nicer with clean outs than anything we have had before. It tows well. We can eat inside, outside, nice big sink. We are pros now at setting up and taking down. Dave's comment was the gas milage is shit, but that's what happens when you tow a wall at 65 mph. Worth every minute!

We had a great day to travel to Charleston. Half highway, half back roads. The directions got us right were we needed to be.

We drive around and through and over so much swamp and marsh. It is very different than Florida. The grass is low and so varied in color. So many little water ways and then great big rivers. Definitely different for this Colorado girl!

We were pleasantly surprised by a welcome phone call from the Fam camp on the joint military base. We had made reservations back in April. They wanted to know our ETA so they could meet us and lead us to our spot.

They helped us get discount tickets for our plantation visit tomorrow. Gave us directions to the Commissary and BX. It is a beautiful and pristine campground. Paved roads, cement pads for the RV and table and grass yards. We are thrilled. It was hot today so we did not take advantage of the outside til dinner time. We had dinner outside. Then played Skipbo. I have not told you who won other nights. But Dave and I tied tonight 2/2. He's not a good loser. So hence no mention before! In fairness he did beat me on

All the Farkle games a couple nights ago.

It was fun to see all the families and kids out walking dogs. Kids riding bikes and scooters and just being kids😁. Made us both really happy.

We did take advantage of the BX and commissary. Had a few things we needed. Both very nice.

Another amazing day. We saw Dollar General and a shrimp shack. Made it all good!

We continue to be blessed with amazing sites and blessings.

Poppy certainly brings people to us. We get asked what team it is for with the orange. The Gate Guard said if it was Clemson, he could not take it. We had to drive through the commercial gate and get the whole trailer X-rayed!

There was a lady from Texas who loved our Armada. She has one, but not as fancy as mine! We learned her whole story. Just like the guy a couple nights ago, Lived all over. But she has been a great car and nice to ride in..

The song of the South was in full force tonight. Not as creepy as last night. This place is nice and clean, and trees are not hanging overhead!

We have heard the the planes fly most of the evening. C141 so much different than the jets we are used to. And promptly at 10 PM Taps played on load speakers all across base. Certainly nostalgic for me. Hope Revelry is not at 6

am!
