July 9th

We had an uneventful drive on an actual interstate. We have really gotten used to the back roads and the local color.

The only thing we can really say is we did hit a traffic jam. Why you ask,

??? When got up there there were 5-6 cars stopped in the three right lanes, people running around and doing something. Didn't look like any crash. They had not moved any cars! Let me tell you getting 4 lanes over with a trailer is no easy feat. Dave did great. Only a few muttered words. We both committed on how much nicer the back roads were.

We did drive by Florida Crackers, a restaurant. I had to borrow a picture because I was not ready and it surprised me. I'll let you determine your own thoughts. Then there was a second one! The parking lot was packed and the line out the door. This ,was prior to our interstate adventure.

We made our way to Cape Coral to my friends house, Julie and Charles. Sure nice to see them again! Get hugs and catch up. They have a beautiful home right on the canal and a wonder screened in porch with a pool and hot tub. So nice to be with great friends.

Charles and Julie took us to a wonderful dinner in Fort Myers. We were right on the water. Yummy food and great company. Nice to see All the boats.

We came back to the house, Julie and I went swimming in the lovely pool. You guys know I could stay out there forever. Watch the clouds turn bright orange as the sun set. Dave caught up with his Georgia Bulldogs football stuff and Charles watched TV.

Early to bed for us. Captain Charles has a boat for us to go dolphin 🐬 watching tomorrow.
