Sunday found us resting and lazy. We had a great dinner at Sonoran Prime Saturday night. We came home and

played Skipbo with Alex and Kristina. Yes I continued my loosing streak. They caught on to the game quick and ganged up on me! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Kristina trimmed up my hair after my scalping 8 weeks ago. Not much to do but had some crazy stuff going on. She said it was cut like a mans haircut. She always does a great job on Dave's hair. Kinda spoiled we are❤️.

We got ready for dinner with family and friends. Had to run to the car between the rain and the hail. I'm including a picture of the quarter size hail. That was south of us. Thank goodness it went south. North of us out east they had baseball size hail. Also glad that missed us. Typical Colorado weather. Can't say that I miss that at all.

We met Margy, Dennis and Brody, Mike and Lori for Mexican. Total of 11. We had a great night, fun waiter and good food. Nice to spend time with family.

The rain was done but is sure cooled it off. 54 going home.

The Skipbo challenge continues....I did win one game!

We had a beautiful sunset on our last evening in Falcon. Hard to say goodbye to those you love. But I have to say moving to Surprise was the right thing for me. No regrets.

We left about 9 today. We headed up the pass to Woodland Park . We continued west to Salida. I love it up here. Dave has never been through the pass or near the Collegiate mountains. He was in awe of the beauty and then to see the snow capped mountains he was so happy. It was day of Gods beauty.

Poppy did great getting the camper up the pass and through the mountains.

We are camped along the Arkansas River. Very nice campground and beautiful view.

We sat out and enjoyed the weather and a nice breeze. Later we drove into Salida and checked out the town and the river. The park and the lots along the river bank were crawling with kayaks and rafters. It was a beautiful afternoon. We drove on hwy 50 along the river just past our campsite.

They have a nice Start park about a mile east of us. No Hookups, but right on the edge of the River. We checked it out. Very nice.

We sat out and watched all the big rigs come in for the evening. I must say some people have lots of toys. For the second time this trip we both got chills..the air was brisk right along with a steady wind. Had to come inside. Good thing I was working on a crocheted blanket. Kept me warm.

It was a breakfast for dinner kind of night!. Perfect.

The Cie truck is Henry the Herford and the bike behind is a tribute to war veterans. Well known around here. Just happened to be parked out front. They appear in all kinds of parades.

So as we start week 9 we both are excited to be home, At the same time we are sad the adventures are coming to and end. But the scalpel is calling,July 26th is new knee day.

We are already working on two more trip agendas for later this year and next summer. Maybe it will be a new game, where in the US is

Poppy!
